7 Ways to get the most out of our conference

Going to a conference for the first time can be scary.  You may not know anyone and this might be your first time attending.  In this article we will show you how to get the most out of our conference so that you won’t have those fears.

Bring Business Cards

One of the most effective ways to make sure you get the most out of our conference is to bring business cards. Make sure to include your head shot on them so folks can remember you.  Now to get them engage, use the back of your business card to extend an offer.  An example of a good offer would be, “Text 5555 to get the first chapter of my book for free.”

Carry a Notebook

There’s nothing like a good old fashion notebook to get the most of our conference.  It is helpful because the battery doesn’t die like it does with laptops or tablets and it’s lightweight and easy to carry.

Carry a Sweater or Cardigan

Meeting rooms have a tendency to get cold.  If you’re shivering during an event you will not be able to concentrate, which is why you should always carry a light sweater or cardigan to our events.

Your Favorite Writing Instrument

Make sure to carry extra pens to write with.  And if you have a favorite make sure to bring it.  Writing and taking notes extends the learning process for years and years to come. Just the act of writing seals the content to memory.

Snacks and Water

Even though our event comes with breakfast and lunch, it’s still always a good idea to bring a snack.  This helps to keep your blood sugar levels normal and your energy levels high.

Write Out Your Questions Ahead of Time

Review the conference schedule ahead of time and jot down your specific questions before the event.  This way you can make sure that you have them ready during the Q & A sessions after each workshop.

Create Learning Goals

Set your learning goals. Come to the conference with a set intention on learning at least one thing that you can implement in your business right away.  This will ensure that you are not wasting your time or money.

Great tips! Not bringing a snack always has me dreaming about the next meal and I lose out on something important in the process
