Stephanie Burroughs

Stephanie D. Burroughs, president of StephanieSpeaking LLC is a speaker, trainer, author, business developer and navigator. Stephanie has 30 years of experience working with small, minority, women and veteran business owners while working with organizations including Gannett Fleming Corddry & Carpenter (now Gannett Fleming, Inc.), The Port Authority of NY & NJ, NJ Transit (consultant) and Rutgers University – NJ Small Business Development Centers. Since 1989 Stephanie has navigated more than 2000 business owners through public agency, state and federal contracting and procurement programs; and the completion and effective use of social and economic disadvantage certifications. Her impact on businesses who have availed themselves of her navigating, business development, speaking, training programs and procurement expos resulted in $860,000,000 in contract awards over a 10 year period as reported by 5% of those clients who responded to the surveys. She has created more than 200 training programs and expos allowing sbe/mbe/wbe/dbe, 8A, HubZone and veteran business owners the opportunity to learn how to market and sell to local, county, state and federal government and corporations; and to connect and build relationships directly with them.

StephanieSpeaking LLC provides speaking, training, business development and navigation services. We help small business owners overcome the confusion, overwhelm and stagnation they experience in government contracting; take action steps that lead to contract acquisition with the government by providing guidance, easy to implement strategies, and clear step-by-step instruction.

Stephanie has received numerous awards and recognitions, has been featured on cable new networks, radio, and print publications. She was recently featured in the October 2014 Issue of the NJ Monthly Magazine as a Leading Women Entrepreneur finalist, was awarded 2012 Top 25 Women in Power Impacting Diversity – Diversity Plus Magazine, NJ State Star Award – America’s Small Business Development Centers (ASBDC, San Antonio TX), and received the Women’s Leadership Award, National Minority Business Council, NYC.
